75 years of living in freedom

National Committee for the 4th and 5th of May

2020 marked the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. We celebrated 75 years of living in freedom, which amounts to an entire human lifespan. To show the value of freedom, agency Kesselskramer created a series of 75 stories with people born in the past 75 years. Every story has a different perspective on the value of freedom. These stories play a central role in a website we developed as part of a national campaign, showing the on-going importance of freedom to this day.

Full focus on the stories

The website revolves around the 75 stories. That's why we removed all unnecessary elements to give the portraits and their stories the attention they deserve. By using a horizontal navigation we connect all of the stories together. This enabled us to tell a bigger story about freedom and how it affects us all. This same story is also told through a short animation upon opening the website. The website shows the meaning and value of 75 years of freedom in an interactive and accessible way.
